We all know that no man can really figure out the true intentions of the heart of another unless revealed to him.
This has caused many people to make wrong decisions, trust the wrong people or even fall into traps that have destroyed their lives because they couldn’t tell the real intentions of the people they associated with.
Everyone wishes they could tell who the betrayer, trailer or hypocrite is in their lives the moment they see them because then they would tell who deserves their trust and who doesn’t.
It’s like owning a company, obviously you’d want to know hardworking employees and those that pretend yet they don’t do anything such that you don’t promote the wrong people or reward them for someone else’s labors.
This also applies to the Kingdom of Heaven:
7 But God told Samuel, “Looks aren’t everything. Don’t be impressed with his looks and stature. I’ve already eliminated him. God judges persons differently than humans do. Men and women look at the face; God looks into the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7
Whereas human beings still have the challenge to find out what’s within each other’s hearts, this is something very open to He that created the Heavens and Earth.
This puts up a very huge disclaimer: ❌THERES NO WAY YOU CAN PRETEND TO GOD! 🙅♀️❌
He doesn’t consider the emotions of your flesh or how much tears you may produce when praying or how you fall recklessly to the ground in the name of being slain.. if your heart is in he wrong place all you’re doing is in vain!
No matter how many words per seconds you produce in prayer, no matter how broken you appear on the outside if your heart is seeking God for vague reasons he will still reward you accordingly. 🤷♀️
Don’t think that because of the many hours you spent on your knees or the many hours you spent trying to organize those chairs in the church or the tears you cried singing the worship songs that took you to that place of being emotional is going to determine your reward. No sweetheart, the state of your heart determines the reward that you get from God.
In such a situation child of God your prayer pattern must be different. You don’t pray as one who expects results because you’re praying but as one who expects results because you are in fellowship with he who loves and can supply you with all even beyond your needs.
You can’t play an act on God and expect him to reward you. Don’t think that your “good deeds” are the things God looks at when you’re in your closet. He needs you to come to Him the way you are in Honesty and total Submission.
God is trying to say, “Yes, I love that you’re in my presence, I love that you serve me and honor me, but do you do all those things because you expect a reward or because you love me for who I am?”
It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6
